Welcome to the West Midlands branch of the Association
of Women in Property
The West Midlands branch was founded in 1993, with members
representing a wide range of property and construction disciplines,
offering a wide variety of experience and knowledge for the benefit
of our branch members.
Carmen Guerra, structural engineer at engineering and design
consultancy Atkins, takes on the role of Chairman for the West
Midlands branch for 2010/2011.
She says, "The Association has always been very supportive of
its members, encouraging them to build friendly professional
relationships. This has proved invaluable in these difficult times.
I will continue promoting these values, as it was this that
attracted me to join the organisation. I will keep focusing
my energies on offering the members what they need whenever
possible. By pooling our strengths, I believe the Association can
grow steadily and in the right direction."
WiP offers a range of opportunities including exclusive visits
to new schemes, events offering points towards Continual
Professional Development, social and professional networking, the
successful National Student Awards scheme and the Mentoring
programme which remains free to members.
