Jo Lappin is the dynamic chief executive of the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, responsible for working in partnership to deliver economic growth, prosperity and improved productivity for businesses, people and communities.
Since her arrival in April 2018, Jo has focused on ensuring that the LEP is ahead of the pack in developing Cumbria’s Local Industrial Strategy. Previously, she was Chief Executive of Northamptonshire LEP and responsible for developing and delivering its Strategic Economic Plan, which was recognised by government as ‘one of the best’ nationally. Prior to that she was a Senior Civil Servant in Government Office NW, responsible for housing, planning, transport and the £850million NW European Programmes. She has also worked in local government on a national public service transformation pilot.
