Review of Thames Valley Vintage & Vogue Shopping Evening

Wednesday 29 January 2020

Vintage & Vogue bring preloved fashion to life.

The Thames Valley branch was joined by Emma and Jenny on a dark January evening, to share their new business story and a small sample of the amazing clothes they currently have available. Just over a year ago they set up Vintage & Vogue, a boutique dress agency in Jenny's garden office, in Beaconsfield. Today they have a thriving small business, providing ladies across the Thames Valley with a constantly changing selection of fantastic designer brands and a smug sense of sustainability. They noted that today over 300k tonnes of clothing goes into landfill in the UK every year, while 700k tonnes go to charity shops. It's a shocking indictment of fast fashion and a reminder to us all, that we should consider the opportunities for investing and swapping in clothes to minimise the impact we are all having on our planet in this regard.

We were joined by 16 lovely Women in Property members and guests to browse their selection on the night and I'm delighted to say many purchases were made! We will definitely be looking to run this event again, so look out for it on the Thames Valley Coming Soon, especially if you are a designer magpie. The Mulberry, Jimmy Choo and Alexander McQueen options were incredibly enticing!
