Seven months on from its grand opening and the Westgate Centre in the centre of Oxford City seems to be going from strength to strength and our event didn’t disappoint either. Brendan Hattam of LandSec gave the attendees (some of which had travelled from as far as London and Bristol) an engaging talk on the background, present day and future of the Westgate Centre. With 9 million guests anticipated over the course of the first year of trading, the centre is likely to surpass its own expectations with 7.5 million guests having already passed through the doors!
An engaging question and answer session left our guests with a thought provoking insight into the centres impact and benefit on the Oxford retail industry and more generally the residents of Oxfordshire and further afield. Held at the Curzon Cinema, members and guests of Women In Property were able to experience the centre's rooftop views whilst sampling the fizz and canapés served. A very enjoyable evening indeed.
