Little Britain 2010

The event starts with a training day on Wednesday 15 September and crew members will need to make their way to Gosport Naval Base by about 1200 to meet the skipper, have a briefing and sail to Cowes with some boat handling practice on the way. On the Thursday racing begins in the afternoon so there is a little time in the morning for more practice. There are two races on Friday and two on Saturday.
Apres-sail highlights include the Royal Yacht Squadron Reception on the Thursday night, the Fancy dress Competition and Byrne Group barbecue on the Friday and the Crew Dinner and prizegiving on the Saturday.
We sail back to Gosport on the Sunday and the event finishes at about 1500 hours.
There are up to 3* places available with approx. costs to remain at around £1000 excl. VAT for 5 days sailing (including 3 race days) 4 Nights accommodation, meals and all apres-sail activities. Places within an organisation are available but the cost will be more than half a full place because some of the fees are fixed, not per-person. (*Lesley Logan and Alison Smith have both indicated they wish to sail this year.)
