Bradford Mirror Pool
On a beautiful sunny day in Bradford
30 members and guests gathered at City Hall in Bradford for the
Women in Property City Park & Mirror Pool site visit. The
site visit started with a very interesting and informative
presentation of the scheme by the client: Bradford Metropolitan
District Council and the design team who are: Gillespies, Sturgeon
North Architects, Arup and Birse.
We then made the best of the
sunshine with a short walk to the Impressions Art Gallery, which
took us through the construction site. From the art gallery
we had a great view over the construction site, a buffet lunch was
served with networking, the design team stayed for lunch and
answered questions from our guests.
The City Park & Mirror Pool will
be a fantastic asset to Bradford City Centre when it is finished in
summer 2011. We will be holding another site visit to the
finished City Park. Also watch out for a Bradford Networking
lunch to be held at the Great Victoria Hotel on the 2nd
July 2010, plus other exciting events in Bradford coming soon.
