North West Awards Winner - Katie Myers

Real Estate student through to WiP National Awards final

Part-time Real Estate Management student, Katie Myers has won the North West regional final of the Association of Women in Property (WiP) National Student Awards 2009.

The award was presented at a lunch event held at Room, Manchester and attended by over 40 WiP members who took part in a memorable 'Speed Networking' session before the award was handed out.  All the Student Awards finalists also attended the event even manged to get in a bit of networking with WiP members.

Commercially astute Katie impressed the judges with her passion, determination and knowledge of the industry to win the £500 first prize, free membership of the Association upon graduating and the opportunity to participate in the WiP mentoring programme whereby a mentor will support them in their early career. 

The Liverpool John Moores University student will now go head to head with winners from seven other regions across the UK, in a national final for a prize of £1,000 as the 'Best of the Best' which takes place at Claridge's in London on 22nd September. 

The WiP Student Awards aims to showcase and encourage up and coming female talent in the property industry.  Second year students are nominated for the award by their course tutors.  The eight finalists, who were selected after a tough presentation and interview process, were:
