Central Scotland Branch
Welcome to the Central Scotland branch of the Association of
Women in Property. We have over 150 members across our region,
working in virtually every property discipline. We cover the
central belt from Glasgow to Edinburgh and north to Perth. We also
work closely with Northern Scotland, our satellite branch.
Committee
Your committee includes enthusiastic professionals from a wide
range of public and private sectors. We all look forward to meeting
as many of you as possible at future events. If you would like
further information on the committee or would like to get in touch
please click on "Committee" to the left of this message.
Events
2010 has already offered some fantastic events with our Annual
Dinner held in February at Mansfield Traquir, Edinburgh and our AGM
held in the new BBC building in Glasgow. We hope to continue this
level of excitement with a series of great events, site visits and
CPD sessions throughout the year. We are always keen to hear from
our membership, so if there is an event that you would like us to
consider or perhaps you'd like an opportunity to present to our
membership then please do get in touch. In the pipeline is a visit
to the new transport museum in Glasgow, a golf event nearer the
summer and our chairman's cocktail party which is traditionally in
September. Please keep an eye on the events page of the site for
up-dates.
National Student Awards
The 22nd March is the day our nominated students from across the
region met with our judges. The standard in previous years
has been extremely high and we have been delighted to have had a
national winner in 2008 and a highly commended in 2009. The
2010 regional winner will be announced in early summer and we have
a great night planned to celebrate.
Mentoring
A key benefit of being a member of WiP is the mentoring
scheme. This is something that we want to offer to our
Central Scotland members but we realise that we need to provide
more information on how it works and what the benefits are. We will
provide information shortly however if you have any questions in
the meantime please contact me at:
elaine.troup@renfrewshire.gov.uk
I look forward to meeting you all soon.
