Central Scotland Branch
The Central Scotland branch is very active and we encourage our
members to get involved as much as possible throughout the
year. If there is anything that you think WiP, either at
branch or National level, could assist you with please do not
hesitate to contact us.
Committee
The committee comprises members from across the region and is
always looking for enthusiastic professionals to help us run the
branch or to offer venues for upcoming events. We currently
have a vacancy for a Glasgow based member to assist in the
arranging and running of events. If you would be interested
in joining/supporting us or would just like some more information
please get in touch via the 'Committee' button on the left hand
side of this page.
Events
We aim to run over 30 events this year ranging from breakfast
seminars, site visits and CPD to personal development. Our
Autumn calendar contains some fantastic high profile events, and
you can find regular updates on our events page. We are
always keen to showcase our members so if there is a project that
you would like to share with us, or if you would like to showcase a
particular building, please get in touch. Similarly, if you
would like to sponsor or host any of our events, we would be
delighted to hear from you.
The weeks will fly in to our Christmas event - A Christmas Night
at the Museum - on 6th December 2011. This is a
fantastic opportunity to enjoy private access to the Riverside
Museum, and an ideal way to entertain your Clients.
Our recent Career Development event, Moving Beyond the Boys'
Club, was a fantastic night and introduced a panel forum of high
profile speakers. This was followed by the first of our
Business Skills lunches; it is important in these tough times to be
getting the most out of our time investment in CPD and
networking.
It is great to be able to report that two of our recent events
have been sold out. This is testament to the quality of our
schedule. Please book quickly to avoid disappointment.
Mentoring
We recently held a very successful workshop and the matching of
mentors and mentees is on-going. We plan to repeat the
workshops in Spring 2012. If you would like to discuss the
benefits of mentoring with our Coordinator Gillian Murray, please
email gmurray@landmarktrust.org.uk.
Annual Dinner - Save the Date
The runaway success of our previous Annual Dinners continues and
current notes of interest are accounting for 85% of our
availability. Priority booking forms will be released very
shortly to notes of interest, followed by a general release.
If you would like to still register your note of interest,
please do so now before we are fully booked.
I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming
months. If you would like any more information on any of the
above, please contact me.
